We’re proud as papaya punch to announce our first project go-live! Major UK skincare brand Elemis assigned our insanely talented and famous Laura Oakes to create limited edition packaging for their iconic Papaya Enzyme Peel.
To commemorate the 10th anniversary of this top selling product, and using her unique signature ‘digital decoupage’ style, Laura has created an electrifying design to run across the tube, carton and limited edition wash-bag.
The creative brief for this fruity project determined the design to be Kenyan inspired, as it is the country of origin of the products key ingredient, the papaya! Laura is used to working with vibrant colours and natural landscapes, so she was thrilled when she first heard of the creative concept.
During the project Laura got up close and personal with the papaya, scanning various parts of the fruit to study its colour and consistency, she went on to deconstruct the various parts of the fruit for further in depth creative analysis. The end result was an intoxicating feast of colour which bought together all the elements of the product, its source and Laura’s own unforgettable style.
Not only was this creative brief a dream, but the project was also benefiting SOCOTM (Socially Conscious). This charity works around the globe to alleviate poverty and malnutrition in underprivileged societies. For every Laura Oakes’ designed Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel sold, the company will provide a 5-in-1 Pentavalent vaccine to immunise a child in Africa. It is hoped that as many as 50,000 vaccines will be donated.
